William Shakespeare was one of the greatest writers in the English Language, writing 37 plays that were based on comedy, sonnet poems, histories and also including tragedies. Married at age eighteen, and then moved to London soon after that. By 1594 he had the most popular play writes in the city, he was an actor as well as a writer. Shakespeare's history plays told stories of how days went by, which included recent rulers and kings that were passed. As months passed Shakespeare later then built a playhouse which was called a Globe Theater, his cast were called Lord Chamberlain's Men. Wealthy people bought tickets to stadium styled seats around the edge, regular people bought tickets right below the stage an area that was called "the pit." Shakespeare's tragedies were considered his best work. They can be very dark and always end in death, they always had good hero's who made bad choices. Like Hamlet, Othello, Macbeth was one of the most vicious plays of all.
