"The Grandfather" Content Paragraph: My Tree

Like the narrator in “The Grandfather” by Gary Soto, I consider a oak tree would represent my family. Each branch, and leaf represents my family which includes; grandma Terri, my grandpa Ely, my sister Jackie, my niece Analynn, my little brother Jack Jr, my dad Jack, my mom Ana, and my sister Elizabeth. These people are my family because not only care about me, they listen to what I have to say. If my grandparents didn't allow me to go on pass they would not love me, but seeing that they do invite me over meaning they care. They give me strength by supporting me every step I take,An example of a time when I depended on them was when my grandparents, parents, provided food and shelter during the past. For that, all I can say is thanks for everything. An oak tree symbolizes family because it's a common symbol of strength and endurance.

“The Grandfather” Before Important Person Paragraph

My grandmother and grandfather means a lot to me, their always giving me helpful advise that may be long but it is only because many situations and objects were difficult to surpass in the 1960-1970's. My grandpa is kind of cranky sometimes but has caring for me especially. My grandma is nice and her cooking beats anything, anywhere. My grandpa mentions not having shoes, walking barefoot anywhere he went. He was in the Philippines most of his life, as well as me living with my grandparents at some point he also has lived with his grandparents. Taking care of 6 brothers and sisters, is pretty hard. My grandpa is important to me because he excepts anything I ask or say, and he listens. As for my grandma, she's important to me because I love her cooking, it's the best. My relation towards both of them is that we love each other very much, including my sister Jackie and my brother Jack.

“The Lady or the Tiger” Which Door?

In the story, “The Lady or the Tiger?” by Frank R. Stockton, the man opens the door and sees the tiger. The princess chose this door because how often, in her waking hours and her dreams, had she started in wild horror, and sovered her face with her hands as she thought of her lover opening the door on the otherside of which waited the cruel fangs of the tiger! But how much oftener had she seen him at the other door! How in her grievous reveries had she gnashed her teeth, and torn her hair, when she saw his start of rapturous delight as he opened the door of the lady! The man’s fate was decided by adrenaline leading to this painful death and agony which goes along with it.

“The Gift of the Magi” Surprise Ending Paragraph

When I finished reading “The Gift of the Magi” by O. Henry, I felt annoyed because the story’s kind of hard to understand. In the story the author O.Henry used old accent which I did not understand but the story was outstanding even though the story wasn’t clear enough. She sold her hair for alot back in those days. The ending or conclusion expresses how much they love each other and how gift’s are valued.

"Cranes" Before You Read: Duty

If I had to choose between A, B, and C, I would choose C. I might say yes but only if our team is losing by 20+ points then I would root for the other team and still have a pretty girl by my side. If I was playing then of course I would have to cheer for my team, but the girl sounds better. Our team would be pretty pissed if 5-8 team member's or in San Pasqual's audiance. Many of the student's from SPA are cheering, and if I was playing I would quit the team as quick as possible. I would say "I hated losing so much I'll just cheer with you," and the girl says "okay, at least you will fit in a winning team."

"The Sniper" Theme Paragraph

"The Sniper" by Liam O' Flaherty The theme of "The Sniper" is that even if your in a war. Your more likely to kill someone who is precious to you. It will be hard for someone like me if I killed my brother, would of shot myself for that. Instead of living with hate and anger and pain, maybe I would not commit suicide and deal with it since there's nothing to change even if I can change the past. I think this is how the sniper feels about his brother's death and his feelings are definitely scared.

Portfolio - Future

I feel kind of excited about the future, because there's many roads to choose. Like college basketball, or culinary arts, graphic design, gaming, archetechture. Something I enjoy doing would be the best job for me and the future. Maybe if I practiced so much that I make it to the NBA. Or drawing clip art for video games. I'm gifted at art, sketching 3 dimensional objects. But first I must get at least 3.0 or higher throughout my highschool year. Play for the school team and get noticed, and keep practicing fundamentals, practice drawing will help too if I get an art class. I know I'm going to achieve my goals if I dream, believe, and achieve what ever I put my mind to.

Portfolio – Greatest High School Obstacle

I hadn't had any obstacles really, but there was one. Being here, it's hard for me to stay in this facility because it's in the middle of nowhere. It's boring, the only thing that is fun is playing basketball or playing video games. I don't really enjoy living in a house with thiefs, if I had a wish it would be leaving this area. But that might be just about the only obstacle, I had to deal with staying here so now I play basketball all the time even though I'm tired of staying in one area all day 24 hours a week. So for now I should just deall with it until I leave and I hope it's soon.

Romeo and Juliet - Day 6 - Wrap Up Paragraph

Juliet shouldn't have communicated to a guy peaking through the window, and hanging out in the backyard at night. She should of listened to her parents in the first place, she should not have gone along with Friar Lawrence's crazy scheme, but pushing him into proposing it.

Romeo hadn't made brainless choice's by poisoning himself because Juliet died. Now that him committing suicide, this drove Juliet to commit suicide as well. If both didn't kill them self's they'd both be alive.

Friar Lawrence once he knew that his message to Romeo had miscarried, there's no way he should ever have left Juliet's side. He got her into this situation but didn't have the guts to see her out of it.

Tybalt. Here's a guy who was looking for trouble. He wanted to start a fight with Romeo even though Capulet told him not to. The result? He and Mercutio die, Romeo is banished, and Juliet is on her own. If Romeo had been with her, there would have been no suicides.

Balthazar. He should have made sure of his facts by talking to the friar before blabbing to Romeo.

The theme in Romeo and Juliet never disobey or it will lead to horrific effects. The theme of forbidden love will never grow cold.

People still like Romeo and Juliet because even though it is set a long time ago, it has some of the most universal themes and characters of all time and the language is just beautiful.

Romeo and Juliet - Acts 4-5 - Cause of Deaths

I'm thinking it was human errors, Romeo should of waited a little longer before he poisoned himself. He would have lived a happy life with Juliet, but he ruined everything by leaving the messager then killing himself for no reason. Well since Juliet stabed herself because her Romeo died would killing yourself get you anywhere? She should of thought twice before commiting suicide, then her mother and father would think she's a ghost because of her death and funeral. But it was also fate that lead them to killing each other, Romeo killed his cousin. Juliet is supposed to be dead, so what other choices were there when this happend. What other resource is keeping them from living? It would be better if they did not kill each other, but the author William Shakespeare. He made the play like this so it would have more drama in his play. It's a good play.
