SS3 JCCS Academic Language Written Assessment

Using paper bags are a better TECHNIQUE. Also when small birds get stuck inside the bag it’s hard to ACCESS them. Plastic bags don’t break down so it will always be there, and paper bags rip so easily. Plastic bags can also carry more things, such as a gallon of milk. But it has negative details about plastic bags, babies can suffocate with plastic bags. Paper bags are not that dangerous because it rips easily, there would be less deaths around the world. People need to know that plastic bags are more esspensive than paper bags. People give VALID information about plastic bags, which makes paper bags better. When the store workers use paper bags, to me it feels more organized because it is organized.

"Get rich fast" schemes do work. One reason schemes work is because some people are great at their job. Another reason they work is because people are willing to spend money on what they want. Portfolio - My Educational Experiences

Due to my educational experiences, I am currently a average student. When I was younger I had bad grades. For example, I had mostly F's. Now that I'm older I know what is required in order to attend a university or a college. I already know adult school is another requirement, because of the grade back in freshman year. I won't need summer school, but I will barely pass biology. I passed the English CAHSEE which is a big accomplishment. Thought I wouldn't pass, but still was close to failing. I need more studying to pass the math CAHSEE, so next year I need tutoring in math. I raised my History grade last week from a D+ to a B.  As I prepare for the rest of high school, I will continue to work hard without assistance.

End of Year Reflection – Greatest High School Obstacle

The biggest obstacle for me in highschool is critism from student altheletes in sports. When I was on the basketball team, I had a hard time getting along with the teammates because of them criticising me everyday whether I missed a shot or lay-up at practice. It's stupid how some people think practice is a championship. But there are some players that take basketball seriously, there are more than just one player that does the similar things on any team you go to, understanding that made me want to stay at San Pasqual Academy. It really had an impact on what I am today, always making shots and always making easy lay-ups. The obstacle not only changed me, but made me learn how to deal with stress. Anytime I step on the court to play some pick-up games, I'm always focused even if you have a guy yelling in your face as you make shots. You can elbow me, foul me. If I'm winning, it's a done deal.
